Day 10 of the Remodel
Long day for the contractors today. They were still working when I got home, so Sarah and I took Ellie for dinner and picked up Davey from my parents. They pretty much finished all the wood flooring. Only work that remains is to finish the pantry, inside the closet, as well as replacing the base boards. We also picked our grout colors for the back splash and kitchen tile floor.

wow, dude, it is coming along amazingly! I love seeing your progress pics, so keep 'em up ;) (and also, they're instilling in me the hope that one of these days we'll be able to remodel OUR kitchen, which is a hot mess)
Thanks Sarah. This has been really exciting, also a little exhausting. Next week things will get really crazy since our 1st floor bathroom and kitchen will be out of commission all week.

When do they remove the island? and are you getting wood in the kitchen and bathroom too, just after they're done with the remodel stage - or is it going to stay tile?

The kitchen and bathroom will be tile, but a different tile. They are ripping all the kitchen and bathroom out next week.
