SHOWER

Have fun tomorrow w/ your shower! Sorry I couldnt make it. It might have been nice to take a break from being crazy. :) Please post/email me the pics... I cannot wait to see them.

Sarah, I am soo happy that your dresses fits and that you wont be exposed in 2 weeks! ;)

I want you to be comfortable, and to enjoy yourself as much as possible. When you get a minute to look over the itenerary- the entire list isnt things you or Todd need to do... it is just to give you guys an FYI approximation of how things are to unfold, because we are doing a wedding format that is not very traditional. (It does also list out where to bes etc...) Dont worry though... you and Todd get to remain seated through dinner... it is just the parents and D& I that get to be inconvenienced. (It seems weird, but really it will just provide a distraction during course cleanup. I hope it works, I have never seen it done before.)

I cannot wait to see you both! Derek and I will be in St Louis in just 7 days. The wedding in 14!

We are soo excited! (That is when the bachelor party is... )

Anywho, have fun tomorrow - and enjoy yourself! It is really a lot of fun... (oh and eat A LOT OF CAKE for me!)

So, have you picked up your dress and does it fit? I am starting to freak out that mine will not. I scheduled an emergency fitting/alteration to deal w/ my increasing waistline!

I hope you guys are having an awesome 4th! It is totally hot here. So D and I have holed ourselves up into the apt and are trying to stay cool. Just 34 days until the wedding and D and I are now starting to feel the crunch. I like having the pictures of the family to look at... it brightens me right up! i found great use for the gift card too... thanks so much. D & I bought a bunch of those wall cube things for decoration... and it really perks the place up... so thanks again!

Just 7 more weeks (approx)!!!

Your baby weighs about 4.4 pounds at this point. The crown-to-rump length of your baby is approximately 12 inches and the total length is around 19.4 inches. Measuring from the top of your uterus to your bellybutton is 5.2 inches. Total weight gain at this point of pregnancy is usually 22 to 28 pounds. With the exception of crying, your baby is capable of doing everything that a newborn baby will do. Your baby is restricted now inside of the uterus, but still can kick and move. Your baby sleeps a lot of the time, just as newborn babies do.

Your baby's eyes move in the manner of REM sleep and researchers believe that babies can dream vividly in uterus. When your baby is awake, she is listening, feeling and learning. There are billions of neurons in the brain that make trillions of connections. Your baby will probably have settled into the birth position by now and your caregiver can most likely tell which way your baby is presenting. If your baby were to be born now, the lungs would probably be strong enough to function properly, but your baby may still need extra care from specially trained doctors and nurses. During these last few weeks of pregnancy, most women experience an increased urge to urinate. The uterus puts a lot of pressure on the bladder and can send you to the restroom frequently. Your uterus has actually grown 500 times throughout your pregnancy! Red blood cell production catches up with the production of plasma and physiological anemia may begin to fade at this time.

Your baby's eyes open during alert times and close during sleep. The eye color is usually blue, regardless of the permanent color as pigmentation is not fully developed. The final formation of eye pigmentation requires exposure to light and usually happens a few weeks after birth.

Not long left

Sarah is now 32-33 weeks pregnant. She is starting to have trouble sleeping at night, and many of the other problems women have when they are in the middle of the third trimester.

Today her coworkers threw her an impromptu baby shower. I don't know yet what they got her, but I'll find out tonight.

We also plan to restart our house hunt soon. Hopefully we'll find something we both love and will be great for little Elizabeth.
