Happy 8 months Ellie Bellie!

8 months, how time flies! What an amazing thing. It took me 8 months to train for a marathon, and run it. Ellie was only 8+ months old (in the belly) when Derek and I got married! Now, here she is... babbling, bouncing, laughing, with 2 teeth! It is just an amazing thing.

You two have really created a beautiful and precious baby girl!

8 months old

Ellie turned 8 months old yesterday. YAY! She is so awesome!

Mom is coming over to babysit this Friday and watch the Tudors which we have saved on our DVR for her.
Sarah went to Kirksville on Monday for work and got a flat tire, in Columbia, on her way back. So we had to buy new tires for her car on Tuesday.
Next week is my birthday, the big 27. I think Sarah and I are going to see Star Trek or something. I'm also planning on spending Sunday with mom and dad.
Don't forget, Sunday May 10th is Mothers Day!

Tuesday!

Happy Tuesday Ross's! We're slowly getting settled into our new place. I love how everything has a set room, and nothing really blends together. It makes it seem like we have more space than we do. Our apartment, the living room, kitchen, and dining room were all one large room... so it had a large space, but just felt cramped. I cannot wait to check out the pool. i love that the heated pool is closest to our unit! Whoo hoo! OH, and there is grass! (Which is a luxury in AZ) normally you just get a bunch of rocks! So it is nice since Bentley is quite particular and will not potty on the rocks.

Todd I had the best time, and I am glad you did too! Your daughter is an amazing little girl. I cannot wait to see the pics of me holding her so I can print off and keep posted up! Also the finishing photos would be sweet too. You and Sarah are soo awesome.

Tristin

Tristin was in town this weekend to run her marathon and it was a lot of fun!!! She spent the night at our place Thursday and Friday night. We had a lot of fun. The Marathon was on Sunday and we spent the day riding the metro to each of the relay stations to see that leg off and to cheer Tristin on. It was raining most of the time so Ellie had the cutest little rain coat on. I'll post some pictures from the weekend tonight.

Sara Rayfield has strep throat so hopefully she recovers soon.

Ellie is such a beatiful girl!

I am hanging with my niece. She is gorgeous. I am waiting for Todd to load the pics of my beautiful niece. She is sooo wonderful. Happy, with giggle fits. I love her!

I'll be in StL in 24 short hours!!!

I'll be holding my neice in 24 hours! I am soo excited. She is such a beautiful little girl and I cannot wait to hold her. I hope that she likes me, and doesn't think that I smell bad (from all the running)!

48 more hours to go... and I'll be in ST Louis!

Only 2 more days! Just a mere number of hours! I'll be in St Louis and holding my neice! I couldn't be more excited, someone just has to pinch me! (not hard, I bruise easily!)

Easter

We went to mom and dad's house for Easter. I know that they took some pictures of her easter outfit. dad will have to email them out this week.

So what does Ellie's easter outfit look like? Does she have a bunny suit? The Easter Bunny stopped by our office on Friday, but didn't leave me any candy. I was sad. I guess I am "too old" for the Easter Bunny... but Easter Derek stopped by and gave me an Easter basket! Which I was super excited about... and also bought me the coolest good luck on your marathon gift! :-D

Wow, exciting that she is on to stage 2 foods! Really awesome! I'll keep an eye out for the pictures of my neice. I've added all the ones on shutterfly and the ones emailed from mom and dad to my digital camera... I watch it all day long at work. :-D It sure makes me smile!

quick update

Ellie is just adorable and we have started her on Gerber 2nd foods. which are larger and a little thicker than the first foods.

Last Friday night Sara and Curtis stopped by very briefly had a mojito and left for the evening.

On Saturday Sarah and I talked to a guy about adding a deck to our house and we started the process of ordering a composite deck. other than that it was a fairly boring day, I got a hair cut, and mowed the lawn for the first time this year.

Sunday was fairly uneventful as well. Mom and Dad stopped by for a quick visit and to drop off a gift from Derek's parents for Ellie. It was a very cute spring/summer dress. I convinced them to stay long enough for lunch and dad helped me pick out some grass seed for my lawn. Sadly I have the worst lawn on my street. it is obvious that the people who lived here before us didn't take care of it at all.

This coming weekend Sarah and I are planning on going over to mom and dad's house for Easter dinner. mom makes the best stuffing!

I need to take some pictures of Ellie, I don't think we've taken any for over a month. when I do, I'll try and update the shutterfly account.

The Most Beautiful Girl in The World

What a beautiful little girl! And when Ellie smiles, it is a magical experience! Todd and SArah, I am so proud of you two! You have really done a lot with your lives and are so accomplished, in your careers and personal lives.

STL HERE I COME... 2 weeks out!

Just 2 more weeks. I am excited! Just 14 more days and I'll be able to see hold and touch my little ELLIEBEANS! I cannot wait to meet your new kitty, see your home, and see you both! I am just in great spirits! Things are going well here. I am super excited to be on my taper. Knowing that I don't have any more long runs before the race itself, just is a huge sigh of relief.

I miss you both and cannot wait to see you soon!
